Can you believe that May is already here?! It is unbelievable how fast the days are passing as we close in on the final weeks of school! Below are a few Sunshine School reminders and announcements to help your month go by smoothly.

Mother's Day Celebration
Our preschool will have a Mother’s Day celebration on May 8th, Friday, starting at 4:30 PM. Come by to see your child sing and celebrate you.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is Monday, May 11th to Friday, May 15th! Celebrate your teachers this week by giving thanks and using the prompts below!

• Monday – Card Day: Write your teacher a note or make a card saying thank you.
• Tuesday – Sweet Day: Bring your teacher something sweet and yummy.
• Wednesday – Fruit Day: Bring fruit for your teacher.
• Thursday – Creative Day: Give or make something you want to give your teacher.
• Friday – Flower Day: Bring a flower or draw a picture of one for your teacher.

New Preschool Toddler Program
We will open a new class next to our preschool (3412 Sierra Rd, San Jose CA 95132) on May 11th, 2026 (Monday). This class can accept students from 18 months – 36 months old. To schedule a tour, use the following link: https://calendly.com/sunshinesierra3412/ladybug-class-tour

Memorial Day!
Sunshine Preschools will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25th to observe Memorial Day.

Preschool Graduation
Preschool graduation is on June 5th, Friday, starting at 4:30 PM. Come celebrate your child’s hard work! If your child is not participating in graduation, please pick up your child by 4:00 PM.

Tuition
Tuition is due by the 1st of every month. Parents may check their balance online at www.mysunshineschool.com. Please pay the amount owed by April 10th or a late fee of 10% will apply. Thank you for your cooperation!

2026 - 2027 School Year Attendance Survey
We are starting to make preparations for the upcoming school year! Please take the time to fill out this survey so that we can get a head start on classroom and transportation arrangements for the 2026 - 2027 school year.

Memorial Day!
Sunshine After School will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25th to observe Memorial Day.

Extracurricular Classes
Below is a list of make-up/rescheduled extracurricular classes:

• Kung Fu (1/22) was canceled. Make-up class: Thursday, 6/4 (same time).
• Anime & Cartoons (3/11) was canceled. Make-up class: Wednesday, 6/3 (same time).
• Soccer (3/19) was canceled. Make-up class: Thursday, 6/4 (same time).
• Art Fundamentals (4/1) was canceled. Make-up class: Wednesday, 6/3 (same time).
• Chinese Classes (4/17) was canceled. Make-up class: TBD
• Hip Hop Dance (4/21) has been canceled. Make-up class: Tuesday, 6/2 (same time).
• K-pop Dance (5/6) has been canceled. Make-up class: Wednesday, 6/3 (same time).
