Week of January 2nd

• Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a fun and memorable holiday. All Sunshine locations will start New Year on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012. We look forward to welcoming all of you to a new exciting year.
• Congratulations to Ruskin Elementary School! It is one of the only 21 California schools to qualify for the National Blue Ribbon honor. It is the only school to also receive Governor's Council On Physical Fitness and Sports award and California Distinguished School award on the same year. Parents and teachers from Berryessa School District complimented Sunshine for being a contributing factor for Ruskin’s success. Our hard work at Sunshine helps Berryessa students, schools and the community.
• EMERALD AND HALGRIM LOCATION: Sunshine School Emerald location and Halgrim location are officially open. We offer INFANT and TODDLER PROGRAM. Please refer your family and friends.
• REFERRAL PROGRAM: Sunshine has added more classrooms at Ruskin location. Please share your enthusiasm about Sunshine program with your friends and family. For each new family that you refer, you will receive $100.00 toward your child’s account. For more information and to start referring your friends and family, please click HERE.
• Art Contest: Congratulation to Alina Ta, Sunshine 5th grader for receiving 1st place in North California Western Drawing Contest.
• Art Contest: Congratulation to Ashley Hii, Sunshine 6th grader for receiving Kaiser Grand Prize Winner of Art Contest.
• Speech Award: Congratulation to our 8th grader for receiving Sierramont Middle School's Champion award for SPEECH and SOCIAL STUDY (June 2009).
• Chinese Language Awards: Congratulation to Sunshine Language Students for receiving 1st place in reading comprehension (Jan 2009), 1st Place Winner of Chinese Pin-Yin Contest (June 2006), 2nd place in 7th Grader BCS Speech Contest (Jan 2009), 3rd Place in 4th Grader BCS Poem Reciting Contest and Dictionary (Jan 2009). We are so proud of you.
• Art Awards: Congratulation to Sunshine Art Students for receiving 1st place winner of SVCS western drawing contest (3rd graders Jan 2009), 3rd Place in BCS Chinese Paiting Contest (3rd grader Jan 2009), 3rd places in Chinese Oversea Art Contest (1st and 8th graders Nov 2008), Excellent Select in Western Drawing (3rd grader Jan 2009), and Excellent Select in BCS Western and Chinese Paiting (8th grader Jan 2009). In addition, 22 Sunshine children were awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in World Children Art Contest by World Journal in June 2009. Keep painting a better world, our Little Picassos.
• General: Sunshine School is going GREENER! Our alpha program at Sierra location to save our environment was a total success. From now on, we are requesting that each child from all Pre-School locations bring daily a set of non-breakable bowls, cups, and utensils. At the end of the day, please take them home and wash them. This way, we all can do our share to minimize our Earth from being polluted with non-degradeable garbage.
• General: Sunshine School is going GREEN! In our effort to save trees and improve efficiency, we have launched our "ON-LINE RECEIPT". The instruction to login has been provided to each location a few weeks ago. If you still need assistance with this service, please email Admin.
